The Great Lakes Christian College Men's Basketball program played their second NCCAA Mideast Region game in as many days. GLCC took on Welch College in Grand Rapids at Grace Christian University. The Crusaders set out early to play with energy and focus that was lacking on Friday evening. The very first play of the game Isiah Reed drained a three, which only began the offensive onslaught from the Crusaders. GLCC made their first four threes of the game and jumped out to a 15-2 lead. The Welch College Flames did not just roll over. They continued to compete and battled with the Crusaders. The Flames stayed within 5 for much of the half. GLCC turned up the pressure in the final three minutes of the half to push their half time lead to 12.
In the second half the Crusaders started off cold, and missed their first 6 shots, four of them from deep. The Flames cut the lead to eight, and then the Crusaders pressure defense and offense clicked. Lance Adams caught fire in the second half hitting 7/9 threes including five in a row at one point to extinguish the Flames. Adams led all scorers with 32 points on 9/16 from three, he also dished out 8 assists and grabbed three steals. The Crusaders hit 13/28 threes in the second half and total of 20 threes for the game, a school record. The Crusaders would cruised to a 108-76 win over the Flames. Quincy Green led the just missed out on his first double double as a Crusader with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Ja'Quin Jones led the bench again with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks in the win.

- Isiah Reed was named to the JFB All Tournament team after averaging 19.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 4.5 apg and hitting 13 threes in two games this weekend.

What Coach Says:
"I am very proud of my guys. I said before the game I felt like we were going to hit 20 threes and they went out there and did it. Offensively when we are clicking and hitting shots, watch out. We just have so many weapons and we executed our offensive game plan very well. I'd like for us to clean up some things defensively, but offensively I couldn't ask for anything better." On Lance Adams, "Lance was due. He has been getting the shots he's wanted, but just haven't had them fall. He just was so locked in today. It was fun to watch him today. He deserved that moment, and I loved the fact his teammates celebrated that moment with him." On Isiah Reed, "I am super proud of Zae being named to the All Tournament Team. He works so hard, and plays with so much passion. He is so important to our success, and when he is aggressive we are better offensive team. Scary part is I believe he still has another level, he has not reached yet. I am looking forward to continue watching him develop as the big time player he is." On what it means to be 2-0 in the region, "It means a lot. We obviously want to play in March, to earn region wins is always big for us. We need to keep improving and getting better, but to start off region play 2-0 is always encouraging."
