Sylvania, Ohio- The Great Lakes Christian College Men's Basketball team traveled over to Ohio Saturday afternoon to take on Lourdes University for their first game after Thanksgiving break. The Crusaders came into the game 6-3 and the Gray Wolves entered the game 5-3. Early in the game the two teams were evenly matched trading baskets. GLCC was able to build a five point lead. Lourdes responded getting the score back even. The Crusaders were plagued with foul trouble early both JaQuin Jones and Isiah Reed picked up three fouls in the first half. The Gray Wolves gained control of the game with a 13-0 run over the last four minutes of the half. The Crusaders would enter the half down 53-40.
In the second half, GLCC was not able to get much traction, and only found themselves digging a deeper hole as the Gray Wolves started the half fast with a 9-4 run pushing their lead to 18. Lourdes shot 67 percent in the first half, and that hot shooting just spilled over into the second half. The Gray Wolves were led by Clif Snow's 28 points and Kadeim Jones 25 points respectively. Basit Seidu played well for the Crusaders with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Amir Huston Jr. and Taveon Harris both provided energy for the Crusaders, but it was too little too late for GLCC. Huston played had a career high 8 points in 19 minutes off the bench for the Crusaders. Lourdes would cruise to a 97-76 win. The Crusaders record now stands at 6-4.

- The Crusaders were out rebounded by the Gray Wolves 50-28
- GLCC bench out scored the LU bench 26-19
- Lance Adams scored a team high 17 points in the game. Adams has hit at least four threes in five different games this season
- LU shot 56.5 percent from the floor compared to GLCC's 39.4 percent from the field
- JaQuin Jones was held in single digits for the first time this season, only scoring 8 points.
What Coach Says:
"We did not respond well to adversity today. Winning on the road is always tough and we allowed a lot of outside circumstances affect the way we played. We have to continue to grow and have the mental toughness to overcome these situations. Ultimately we were in the game and then compounded our mistakes. The second half we lacked the energy or desire to compete." On Amir Huston Jr. and Taveon Harris, "I was really proud of these two guys. They have worked hard in practice consistently. The game rewards those who consistently works. AJ and Tae played very well and made the most of their opportunities." On next week, "We have two home games this next week against two quality teams. We need to have a good three days of practice to prepare for these games. It will be good to be back at home in front our fans. We have to keep changing our best, this game was just another learning experience and we will get better from this."
