Located in Lansing, MI, is seeking a full time Men's soccer Coach.

Great Lakes Christian College is a four-year college focused on preparing servant leaders for the church and world. In the 70 plus years of existence, the college has prepared numerous men and women for ministry positions and laypersons to serve the Kingdom of God. Our history gives hope for the future. Students are the key to our success. The position we are filling serves both as a means to recruit and to retain those students. This position will help make Great Lakes ready to serve God's kingdom for the years to come.

Applicants having Gameday Management or SID experience will be a plus. Great Lakes Christian College is an NCCAA Division II institution and competes in the NCCAA. This position is responsible for planning and directing the recruitment, skill development, performance, scouting and administration of the Men's Soccer program in the manner that upholds the mission and values of Great Lakes Christian College and the Athletics program. The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, and teaching-oriented. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to the Christian faith.

The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, in person and by telephone. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.

The Head Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for maintaining a high-quality NCCAA athletic program that supports student recruitment and enhances the educational experience and personal growth of the student-athletes.

The Coach will manage the team and all aspects according to the Great Lakes Christian College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Policies and Procedures.

The Head Coach must conduct all activities in accordance with all state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and the College's policies and procedures. Additionally, the Head Coach must comply with all NCCAA regulations while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for recruiting and training all Men's Soccer student-athletes.

2. Responsible for scheduling contests, arranging travel and transportation, following budgetary guidelines, purchasing equipment, inventory of equipment and supplies, and all issues related to the intercollegiate Men's Soccer program.

3. Accurately and completely portray the College's educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial consideration to students, parents, and educators.

4. Monitors academic progress and eligibility of Men's Soccer student-athletes.

5. Communicate and cooperate in a highly professional manner with all departments and/or administrative units at Great Lakes Christian College relevant to problems or potential problems that may arise and, ultimately, impact on your program.

6. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and demonstrate personal maturity and godliness, agree with our statement of faith, and be involved with a local church body.

7. Support the mission statement of ?to prepare servant leaders in the church and world?

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree required, Master preferred.

- Evidence of at least two years of successful coaching experience is required, preferably at the college/university level

-Valid Drivers license/qualified to operate a passenger vehicle of up to 12 or 15 passengers per van consistent with college insurance regulations.
