Striker’s Big Game Not Enough for Women’s Basketball at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College (0-5) still seeks its first win of the season after a 96-43 loss to Olivet College (1-1) on Tuesday night.

Mystic Striker opened the scoring with a layup for Great Lakes, but Olivet quickly took control of the first period and took a 33-8 lead going into the second. The visitors looked more comfortable in the second, but the Comets still expanded their lead, taking a 54-25 advantage to halftime.

Olivet turned on the jets and put the game away in the second half, holding GLCC to just nine points in both the third and fourth quarters, cruising to a 96-43 win.

  • Striker put on a fantastic performance in the loss for Great Lakes, leading all players in scoring and rebounding with 22 points and 21 rebounds.
  • Shawnee Dame led Olivet with 16 points.
  • Olivet forced 42 turnovers while only committing 15.
  • Great Lakes did not make a single three-point attempt (0/12).
