Women's Basketball Shut Down by Visiting Albion

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball (0-8) ran into a tough opponent on Homecoming Saturday, dropping a 100-38 result to the NCAA DIII Albion Brits (6-1).

The teams were close early, tied 6-6 midway through the first, but the Brits cruised to 29 unanswered points over nearly seven minutes into the second quarter en route to a commanding 60-21 halftime lead.

Great Lakes never found their offensive footing, struggling to score from all over the floor while Albion continued to roll. Albion continued to build their lead throughout the second half, polishing off a 100-38 win.

  • Albion's Evelyn Wischmeyer led all scorers with 15 points.
  • Mystic Striker led Great Lakes with 12 points.
  • Albion out-shot Great Lakes 56.3% (36/64) to 24.3% (17/70).
  • Great Lakes lost the rebounding battle 57-27.
