Women's Basketball Drops Regional Matchup at Grace

WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball (0-16, 0-1) lost their first regional game of the season on Tuesday, falling 87-49 to rival Grace Christian University (11-14, 6-3).

Great Lakes scored first, but a 19-3 run by the Tigers put the home team in front for good. GLCC cut the lead to eight in the first, but could get no closer.

The visitors remained within striking distance into halftime, trailing 45-28 at the break, but a 28-10 margin in the third for the Tigers put the result beyond all doubt and Grace cruised to an 87-49 win.

  • Kerlunda Dervil led all scorers with 20 points off the bench.
  • Mystic Striker picked up another double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds.
  • Great Lakes shot 15/62 (24.2%) from the field.
  • Grace made 31 of 72 shots from the field (43.1%).
