Women's Basketball Suffer Tough Loss at Andrews

BERRIAN SPRINGS, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball (0-19) could not get the win in a low-scoring game at Andrews University (12-7), losing 53-36.

Great Lakes led early, but 14-4 run put Andrews up 16-9 after one quarter. Neither team consistently produced offensively, but Great Lakes did not score double-digit points in any of the first three quarters as Andrews slowly built their lead. The Cardinals led 29-16 at halftime and scored a game-high 18 points in the third quarter to effectively put the game away and they ground out a 53-36 win.

  • Oghenehoke Johnson led Great Lakes with 14 points while also picking up nine rebounds.
  • Mystic Striker grabbed ten rebounds for the visitors.
  • Andrews' Jayde Broussard led all players with 27 points and 17 rebounds.
  • Great Lakes was more effective from the field (16/47, 34%) than Andrews (18/64, 28.1%), but Andrews grabbed 50 rebounds to their 33.
