Women's Basketball Loses In City Clash With LCC

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes women's basketball went downtown for a clash with the Lansing Community College Stars on Tuesday, losing 84-69.

Great Lakes struggled offensively in the first half, scoring only 11 points in the first quarter and 14 in the second as LCC jumped out to a 48-25 halftime lead.

GLCC cut into the lead in the second, but were unable to bring the game within striking distance, coming up short, 84-69.

Tilly Guild led Great Lakes with 23 points and nine rebounds. Kerlanda Dervil scored 18. The team shot a combined 3/16 (18.8%) from beyond the arc.

Jada Moorehead led all scorers, pacing LCC with 25 points. Tori Blackman contributed 20 off the bench.

Up Next: GLCC women's basketball will host Trinity International on Saturday during homecoming at 1:00 p.m. in the Doty Center.
