Women's Basketball Outclassed By Finlandia

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball was defeated soundly by visiting Finlandia University on Saturday, 75-42.

The game was tied at eight early, but Finlandia took off on a ten-minute, 27-4 run—during which Great Lakes made only one field goal—and took a 37-17 lead to halftime.

Finlandia kept rolling in the second half, opening the third on a 13-2 run before cruising to a 75-42 win.

Katie Lundeen led all scorers with 30 for the Lions. Tilly Guild had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Great Lakes. Guild left the second half with an ankle injury and did not return to the game.

Great Lakes shot 11//62 (17.7%) from the floor and 3/25 (12%) from three.
