Women's basketball falls at Grace Christian in season finale

WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball lost their final game of the season on Tuesday, dropping an 83-56 decision at rival Grace Christian.

The Tigers took an early lead, but Great Lakes clawed their way back from a 16-point deficit and trailed 38-29 at halftime.

GLCC's offense sputtered in the third, however, and the Tigers began to pull away, opening the quarter on an 8-0 run and taking a commanding 60-39 lead to the fourth, where they salted away a convincing win, 83-56.

Mystic Striker led Great Lakes with 25 points. Senior Valerie Kopper scored 10 points in her final game. Ashley Hoek led Grace with 18 points off the bench.

Great Lakes made only three of 19 three-point attempts (15.8%) and was outrebounded 62-28.
