Women's Basketball loses to reigning National Champions

In a challenging match-up against the defending NCCAA National Champions, #1 Champion Christian College, our Crusaders started off with a strong 7-2 lead. However, despite the strong start, the Crusaders ultimately fell behind, with the final score settling at 59-91.

Devan Buda once again led the Crusaders with 19 points, going 6-7 from the free throw line. Buda added 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds.

Mykenzie Kent contributed significantly on the boards, pulling down a team-high 11 rebounds, while Makensie Mondy delivered a double-double performance with 10 rebounds and 14 points.

Leah Yanko added 14 points and pulled down 7 rebounds.

Randi Fitzgerald added 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Reagan Lab added 2 points off the bench.

Despite the loss, the Crusader’s resilience and determination were evident throughout the game. At their first ever National Championship appearance, the Crusaders finished the tournament ranked #6 in the nation.
