Women's Basketball brings home first ever Regional Championship

The Crusaders continued to make history as they defeated Kuyper College in the NCCAA Regional Championship on Saturday, March 2nd.

Down 11-23 in the first quarter, the Crusaders were able to battle back and secure the program’s first ever Regional Title. The Crusaders headed into Halftime down 31-43 and ended up outscoring Kuyper College 23-15 in the third quarter, and 26-15 in the fourth quarter.

Makensie Mondy led the team with 21 points, and 8 assists. 

Leah Yanko collected 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Randi Fitzgerald added 15 points and brought down 9 rebounds.

Mykenzie Kent recorded another double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds.

Devan Buda added 13 points, sinking a crucial 3 pointer towards the end of the game.

The Crusaders punched their ticket to the NCCAA National Tournament which will be held at Crown College in Minnesota. This is the first National Tournament Appearance in program history.
