Women's Soccer remains unbeaten with win over Lincoln

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's soccer, recently awarded the top spot in NCCAA DII national polling, continued their unbeaten streak on Saturday, dispatching Lincoln Christian University at home 3-0.

Solara Sheldon's rocket to the top of the goal put the hosts ahead in the first three minutes and Hailey Conine followed it up with one of her own 15 minutes later off an excellent ball from Elena Alvarado to put Great Lakes ahead 2-0 at halftime.

GLCC continued to dominate play in the second half and Casey Conine scored a penalty in the 60th to put it beyond all doubt.

14 of GLCC's 23 shots were on frame. Five of Lincoln's six shots were on target. Katarzyna Polek made four saves and Malia Fry made one.

Great Lakes will be on in Georgia on Thursday, taking on Toccoa Falls as a part of a two-game roadtrip.
