Women's Soccer Announces 2023 Recruiting Class

LANSING, MI. 

 

Head Coach Sam Sibilski announces 11 new players are joining the Great Lakes Christian Crusaders women's soccer program as they prepare for the 2023 season.
"We are very excited about the 2023 recruit class," said Head Coach Sam Sibilski. "They are an extremely talented group and will impact our program immediately. Between our very strong returning players and our new incoming players, we are looking forward to a successful fall season."

Here is a look at the incoming class:

Jessica Heeke
An extremely talented defender that brings a wealth of high level experience having played for Junior college powerhouse Delta College.

Having played her club soccer with Nationals Soccer club before heading to Delta, Jessica certainly has the potential to be an impact player this fall.

Angelica Coretti
A versatile defender that will bring some canadian flair to the back line.
Angelica is an extremely physical, athletic defender that will use her knowledge and experience to help anchor the back line.  Angelica played her club soccer for Ancaster legacy in Canada.
 
Brianna Vinton
Brianna is a powerful player who is blessed with the ball at her feet. Having played soccer at Michigan Hawks and Holt High School, she brings experience from the highest level and will have a big impact pulling the strings from the midfield this fall.
 
Allie Ferrall
A dynamic player that can play in numerous positions, Allie will certainly bring a different look to the crusaders offense this fall. Allie has the pace and flair to cause opposition defenders all kinds of problems. Allie joins us from Force FC and Pennfield High school.
 
Amelia Walicki
Amelia brings a different look to the Crusaders attacking line. She is a powerful forward who will use her physical prowess to cause problems for the oppositions back line. Amelia played her soccer at Nationals soccer club and Parma Western High school.
 
Lily Baalman
Lily comes to the Crusaders after helping Adrian High school to a school record of 13-4-1. She will add great depth to the attacking line in the 2023 Season.
Lily played her soccer at Lenawee United and Adrian High school.
 
Jada York
Jada comes to Great Lakes from Toccoa, Georgia. Another powerful player with a great work ethic, Jada has the potential to be the back bone of the team with a work ethic that is second to none. Jada played her soccer for Rapids FC and Stephens County High School. She also holds 4 state powerlifting records in the state of Georgia.
 
Chelsea Waller
Chelsea has the potential to light up the NCCAA with her attacking ability. 
Chelsea played her soccer for Thundercats SC and L'Anse Creuse North High School. She was named offensive player of the year and lead the team in goals during her senior High school season.
 
Maggie Kodish
Maggie is an extremely hard working, physical player that will add much needed depth to the back line. Maggie's versatility allows her to play anywhere across the back line. Maggie played soccer for Mason SC and Dansville High School, where she was named to the All District Team.
 
Elana Williams
Elana comes to Great Lakes having played soccer at Dundee High School here in Michigan. Elana is an athletic attack minded player with a great mindset which will bring tremendous value heading into the fall season.
 
Ty Campbell
Ty joins the Crusaders from Winter Haven, Florida. She is a speedy left sided player that will bring a new outlook to the Crusader front line. A great work ethic combined with outstanding athleticism, gives Ty has the potential to be a huge success the fall season wearing the blue and white. Ty played her soccer for Winter haven kicks and Winter Haven High School.
