STORY

The Crusaders wasted no time in scoring, putting two goals into the back of the Sabercats' net inside the first seven minutes. In the 23rd minute, Avery Carr stepped up and proved why she was the NCCAA Midwest Region Player of the Year, scoring a hat-trick in the next 40 minutes of the game to really put the contest out of reach of the Sabercats.

At halftime, Great Lakes went into the locker room up 3-0. By the final whistle, Great Lakes had secured the 6-0 win thanks to the treble from Carr.

Avery Carr (Regional player of the year), Chelsea Waller, Allie Ferrall, and Jessica Heeke were all named to the NCCAA Midwest Region 1st Team, as was announced in the post-game ceremony.
