LANSING, Mich. - The Great Lakes Christian College women's soccer continued their hot start to the season with a 2-1 win over over Bluffton University on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders improved to 3-0-3 on the season while Bluffton slipped to 1-1-1.

The Crusaders jumped out quickly with a Meela York goal just over seven minutes into the match. Bluffton bounced back, Making it 1-1 in the 34th minute.

It was stil 1-1 for over 40 minutes, but the Crusaders broke the tie thanks to an Amy Benitez goal with less than 12 minutes to play.

Great Lakes outshot the Beavers 15-6, including 12-5 on frame. Bluffton was called for three more fouls (5-2) and the Crusaders forced one more corner kick (2-1).

 

The Crusaders head to Illinois next week for 2 games when they take on Illinois College and Concordia University Chicago!!
