Great Lakes Christian College (GLCC) is excited to announce the appointment of Jacob Leyrer as its
new Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Golf. Leyrer joins GLCC after a successful decade at
Spring Arbor University (SAU), where he made significant contributions as the Associate Athletic
Director and Director of Golf.

"I am thrilled to add this position, Jacob will bring a depth of experience that will enhance the Athletic Department at GLCC," said Sibilski. "Jacob brings a wealth of valuable experience to the table. His dedication to Cultivating Christ-Centered athletes makes him the ideal addition to our department. I am eagerly looking forward to witnessing the positive impact he will undoubtedly bring to our student athletes and coaching staff."

At SAU, Leyrer was instrumental in driving the growth and organization of the athletic department. His
leadership was particularly evident in the development of the golf program, which grew to become the
fifth largest in the country. Leyrer's achievements extended beyond his administrative roles, as he
was also recognized as Coach of the Year in 2021 and successfully led his team into the Top 30
nationally. His tenure as president of the NAIA Golf Executive Committee further highlights his
influence and dedication within the field.

In addition to his extensive experience in athletics, Leyrer brings a diverse background that includes
professional golf and business ownership. His expertise in marketing and branding will be invaluable
as he works to build GLCC’s athletic department and enhance the college’s overall brand.
Leyrer and his wife, Ashlyn, have four children—Jacob Jr., Gwenyth, Vivian and a newborn on the
way.
