Crusaders Offense Powers them to Two Wins this Weekend

LANSING, Mich- The Crusaders were back home this weekend after being on the road for almost the entire month of January. The Crusaders certainly did not disappoint. In the first game on Friday the Crusaders shot it the best they shot it all season going 19/37 from three enroute to a 119-93 victory over Campbellsville Somerset. Jalen Huff had a career high 28 points 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Crusaders put six in double figures in the game.

 

In the second game the Crusaders took on Welch College who is having the best year in their program history. GLCC jumped on the Flames early and built a 22 point lead at the half. The Crusaders would build their lead as big as forty before winning by 35 over the Flames. Trent Temple led the Crusaders with 22 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Elijah Kess chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. The Crusaders have now won five in a row including the last four games by 20 points or more. GLCC now stands at 12-9 on the season and perfect 7-0 in NCCAA play.

 

What Coach Says:

"This was a good weekend for us offensively. The ball was moving very well this weekend and our offense showed that. The more we can move the ball the more we will exploit teams. Defensively I thought we were much better Saturday than we were Friday. Overall I am happy with this weekend. We still have more work to do."

Crusaders will take on Andrews University at home Tuesday February 4th at 8:00pm.
