Men's Basketball Wins Regular Season Finale

LOUISVILLE, Kent- Great Lakes Christian College Men's Basketball Team was on the road for their final regular season game as they took on Boyce College. GLCC jumped out to 15-3 lead, but the Bulldogs stayed within striking distance in a back and forth half. The Crusaders would build multiple 10 point leads but the Bulldogs would close the half on a 7-0 run to cut the Crusader lead 40-34.

In the second half GLCC jumped out with 9-0 run and never looked back. Boyce never got closer than 15 points the rest of the way. GLCC lead was as large as 22 points. What Coach Says:

"I thought we played well today. Defensively I was really happy with our guys. I thought we executed our game plan very well defensively. Offensively I thought we moved the ball extremely well. We just did not shoot it well today. We got the looks we wanted, they just didn't fall. Boyce is a good team, their record is not indicative of where they are as a team. They are finally healthy and they are always very tough at home." On regionals coming up, "We are focused. We are excited for the opportunity to win a championship. We know we have to take it one game at a time. I am excited for our guys and the week ahead."

What's Next:

The Crusaders will head down to Nashville for the NCCAA Mideast Regional. Seedings are TBD. The schedule will be released on Tuesday afternoon.
