Senior Spotlight: Ja'Quin Jones, Men's Basketball

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College senior guard Ja'Quin Jones has left his mark on the men's basketball program. Despite his career being cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, Jones had one of the best careers of any player in GLCC history, scoring over 1,000 points and captaining the team to two NCCAA II national championship tournament berths.

Jones was named second-team All-American in 2018-19 and third-team All-American in 2019-20, and garnered first-team All-Region honors as well in both seasons. One of head coach Richard Westerlund's "road dwags," Jones led the team in shooting percentage (52.7%), averaged 13.6 points per game and was one of the team's most outspoken and respected leaders on and off the court.
