Leyrer joins GLCC after a successful decade at Spring Arbor University (SAU), where he made significant contributions as the Associate Athletic Director and Director of Golf.

At SAU, Leyrer was instrumental in driving the growth and organization of the athletic department. His
leadership was particularly evident in the development of the golf program, which grew to become the
fifth largest in the country. Leyrer's achievements extended beyond his administrative roles, as he
was also recognized as Coach of the Year in 2021 and successfully led his team into the Top 30
nationally. His tenure as president of the NAIA Golf Executive Committee further highlights his
influence and dedication within the field.
