Men's Soccer wins another wild one, 5-4 over Lincoln

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer won yet another close one at home on Saturday, coming from behind three times to pull off a 5-4 victory over visiting Lincoln Christian University.

John Messer's goal put Lincoln ahead in the 25th, but GLCC answered back quickly as Kenan Kennedy scored of a Reddeck McMeeken assist. Rashawn Jackson give Lincoln the lead right back, however, his shot finding the net off the fingertips of goalkeeper Jaden Talley to give LCU a 2-1 lead at the break.

Great Lakes responded again in the second half as Gavin Talley leveled things off a rebound in the box. Lincoln took the lead for the third time off a Camden Radecki goal, but Alexzander Walker provided a third Great Lakes equalizer, finishing a grouded cross from Kennedy to make it 3-3 in the 76th.

Five minutes later, Walker was fouled in the box, giving McMeeken a chance to put Great Lakes ahead from the penalty spot, which he converted to make it 4-3. In the waning moments, Kennedy and Gavin Talley passed their way through the Lincoln defense, setting up Kennedy's second goal to make it 5-3 in the 85th minute. Simon Aye scored one for the visitors to draw them back within one, but LCU could not muster up an equalizer and GLCC held on to win.

GLCC put 10 of their 24 shots on frame, while eight of Lincoln's 16 shots were on target. Jaden Talley picked up four saves in a winning effort.

Kaden Fultz of Lincoln and GLCC's Harrison Case both received yellow cards in the game.

GLCC will be at home once again on Wednesday for their first game in a home-and-away series with Fairhaven Baptist.
