Men's Soccer winning streak continues as Kennedy scores four

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer extended its winning streak to six on Friday, dispatching regional opponent Appalachian Bible College 9-0.

It took Great Lakes 24 minutes to take the lead with a Kenan Kennedy goal. Four minutes later, he scored his second. In the 42nd minute, Dawson Grizzle buried a shot from deep, his first goal of the season, to push Great Lakes' halftime lead to 3-0.

In the second half, GLCC kept the pressure on with goals from Zach Johnson, Gavin Talley, Leonce Ndayisaba and Reddeck McMeeken, as well as two more goals from Kennedy, cruising to a 9-0 win.

Great Lakes took 35 shots in the match, 17 on target. Appalachian Bible took 11 shots, five on frame.

Zach Johnson assisted on three goals and Kennedy contributed two. Jaden Talley made four saves and kept the clean sheet for Great Lakes. Nate Donnelly made eight saves for Appalachian Bible.

The team will take on NCCAA DII #7 Grace Christian on Wednesday in Wyoming, Michigan.
