Asbury Routs Women's Basketball In Home Opener

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball lost their home opener on Saturday to Asbury, 108-60.

The Eagles used a 10-0 run to jump out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and continued to build on that lead throughout the game. Asbury led 49-28 at halftime and only ramped up their offensive output in the second half, ripping off 29 points in the third quarter and 30 in the fourth to roll to a 108-60 win.

Mystic Striker led Great Lakes with 21 points. Seven Eagles scored in double digits, led by Faith Osborne's 22 points off the bench. Zaria Napier picked up a double-double, scoring 11 points to go with her team-leading 11 rebounds.

As a team, Great Lakes shot 21/75 (28%) from the floor. Asbury shot 41/88 (46.6%).
