The Great Lakes Christian College Women's Basketball team traveled to Kuper College to face the #10th ranked Cougars and came home with an action packed 71-68 win.
The Crusaders trailed early in the game but fought back to take a two point lead at the half 34-32.
The back and forth game had Great Lakes leading after three quarters 56-55.
Clutch 3-point shooting gave the Crusaders a five point lead at the one minute mark and they hung on to finish the three point victory 71-68.
Sakura Nakano led three players in double figures with 26 points and 6 assists.
Makensie Mondy had a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Randi Fitzerald tallied 17 points including shooting 3-5 from the 3 point line.
This improved the team's record to 6-9.
They travel to Grace College on Wednesday January 24th for a 5 pm tip off.
