Three hat tricks for Women's Soccer in home win over Andrews

LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's soccer took care of business on Wednesday, taking down Andrews University 12-0 at home.

The teams played evenly for the first half of the opening period before Great Lakes ripped off four goals in 10 minutes to blow the game wide open, including two from Hailey Conine and one apiece from Randi Fitzgerald and Casey Conine. Moragn Chamberlain added another goal before the break to put Great Lakes ahead 5-0 going into halftime.

GLCC kept their foot on the gas in the second half. Solara Sheldon scored a hat trick in a span of 20 minutes and both Fitzgerald and Hailey Conine completed their hat tricks as well. For Conine, it was her second hat trick in as many games. Breanna Vert added another late to push the final score to 12-0.

Great Lakes outshot Andrews 43-2 and put 28 of them on target. Katarzyna Polek and Malia Fry each made a save and split the clean sheet.

GLCC will return to action next Wednesday against Defiance College.
