STORY

The Crusaders came out looking to build on the 6 - 0 win last time these 2 teams played. The Sabercats defenders made it hard for Great Lakes to get a clear look at goal during the first half.

The Crusaders' persistence finaly paid off in the second half, however, as they scored the opening goal off of a counter-attack that Meela York put away from the side of the penalty area. Great Lakes added a second goal just 10 minutes later through Amelia Walicki and and continued to put pressure on the Sabercats to score their third just before the 70-minute mark through Allie Ferrall. Amy Benitez and Allie Ferrall both rattled the woodwork as the Crusaders continued to push forward.

The Crusaders now head to Kissimmee, Florida for the National Tournament
