Women's Volleyball Loses Pair of NCCAA Games on Saturday

LANSING, Mich. - The fledgling Great Lakes Christian College women's volleyball team is still looking for answers after going 0-2 at a home NCCAA triad on Saturday.

GLCC faced Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday morning, dropping an 0-3 decision. The first game was close early, but the visitors pulled away to take it 25-11. Great Lakes had its best set of the day in a 25-15 second set loss before their lack of depth got the better of them and MBU rolled to a 25-6 win in the third set and the sweep.

Grace Christian University similarly took care of business in the afternoon game, holding their hosts to single-digit points in each set of a three-set sweep, 25-9, 25-9, 25-7.

Alissa Nugent led GLCC in scoring on the day with nine points across the two matches. Madison Outwin led the team with three service aces and Jillian Wilson led with 13 total digs.

Great Lakes will face UC Clermont at Appalachian Bible on October 3 at noon.
